Comments
I probed over 80cm of storm snow in Brandywine bowl. After getting our sleds stuck for almost 2 hours we switched to skis. Shooting cracks and blocky snow on any slightly steep piece of terrain. 40-60cm ski pen. 4F heavily moisture laden snow near the surface with decreasing density down 60cm (upside down snowpack). Extremely difficult trail breaking. We ascending 50 vertical meters in 30 minutes and decided we liked our hip flexors and trail broke back down to the meadows. Unskiiable. Sleddable but difficult.
