Administrative Coordinator
We’re seeking a dynamic Administrative Coordinator to support Avalanche Canada’s day-to-day operations through a mix of administrative, financial, and logistical tasks. You’ll play an important role in supporting our people, programs, and services while contributing to avalanche safety across Canada.
If you enjoy variety, take initiative, and want your work to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!
Director of Public Safety Services
Join a mission-driven team dedicated to mountain safety and the communities we serve. As Director of Public Safety Services (DPSS), you will help shape that culture while giving our managers and specialists the direction, resources, and support they need to deliver effective services. This is an opportunity for an experienced people leader to strengthen a mission-driven organization and see the impact of their leadership in the work of their colleagues and the safety of backcountry users across Canada.
As the DPSS, you will serve as one of three senior management team members reporting directly to the CEO. In this vital executive leadership role, you will guide and empower department managers across forecasting, field operations, and education and outreach.
This is primarily a high-impact leadership and operational management role rather than a technical specialist position. You will translate organizational strategy into operational priorities, provide department heads with necessary resources, ensure financial discipline, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Sled Mentorship Program
Avalanche Canada recognizes that emerging sled-based avalanche professionals face challenges in accessing mentorship opportunities similar to those available to their ski-based counterparts.
Our sled mentorship program aims to provide avalanche industry mentorship to snowmobilers interested in professional-level avalanche practice. This season, we have two places available.
It is important that you review the program information and requirements before applying.
