If you would like an introduction to sledding safely in the backcountry, come out to one of the CAC-sponsored, two-hour safety seminars listed below. You can also check out Avalanche Awareness Days, Backcountry Avalanche Workshops, presentations at the western Canada snowmobile tradeshows, Patterns of Prevention seminars, or events hosted by our sponsors, snowmobile manufacturers, and community partners (see attachments on the right side of this page).

Looking for an avalanche outreach event in your community?
The CAC presents at various events throughout the winter season. If you are interested in having an avalanche outreach event in your community please contact us. We may have a forecaster or outreach personnel in the area. If not, we are requesting cost recovery from the community or organization that makes the booking. Each event is looked at individually to estimate costs.

New DVD: Throttle Decisions! A new educational video will premiere at the Edmonton Snowmobile Show. Be sure to be there! The public release date will  be shortly thereafter with the price of the DVD still to be determined but most likely in the $10 range. The CAC is immensely excited about this project as it will fill a gap in our resources for the AST snowmobile community.
