Events help us bring attention to avalanche safety and awareness. Our two premiere events are the Backcountry Avalanche Workshops, presented by Columbia Brewery, and Avalanche Awareness Days, presented by Canadian Pacific. Whether we're the host or one of the participants, it's all about getting together to share knowledge and celebrate respectful use of the winter backcountry. Come join us at an outreach event this winter!
We directly reached almost 2000 people through our schedule of outreach events in the 2012-13 season. We potentially reached 10's of 1000's indirectly through attendance at ski and snowmobile shows and Avalanche Awareness Days events.

Looking for an avalanche outreach event in your community?
The CAC presents at various events throughout the winter season. If you are interested in having an avalanche outreach event in your community please contact us. We may have a forecaster or outreach personnel in the area. If not, we are requesting cost recovery from the community or organization that makes the booking. Each event is looked at individually to estimate costs.
