International Commission on Alpine Rescue (ICAR)

The International Commission for Alpine Resuce (ICAR) is an international group of member countries dedicated to excellence in alpine search and rescue.  Every year members meet to discuss best practices in alpine serach and rescue and mountain safety and prevention programs.

Many CAA Professional Members are invovled in the various working committees of ICAR.  Canada has 2 official member organizations.
